With experience ranging from newspapers and print to television and video to mobile platforms and social media, Richard Graziano brings to ZMG over 26 years of extensive media knowledge. Richard is an industry leader in audience development and sales, and has engineered successful growth strategies at some of the leading companies in media. Richard has weaved core traditional media values into the ever-changing climate of the digital age, providing stability and reliable growth in an industry marked by constant change.
Most recently, Richard served as President and General Manager for WPIX-TV, Tribune Media’s flagship station, at the culmination of a 17-year-long career with the company. While at WPIX, he created a new studio in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY and negotiated lucrative deals with the Mets and Yankees. He also developed content partnerships with leading brands such as the Weather Channel and Sports Illustrated, and increased digital revenue by 100 percent. Prior to WPIX, Richard served as CEO/Publisher of the Hartford Courant, where he led its first fully integrated cross-media sales team. He was responsible for merging print, broadcast and digital into one unified brand with a common goal of creating engaging content on multiple platforms. From 2008 to 2010 Richard also served as the Senior Vice President of Tribune Broadcasting, overseeing properties in Hartford, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.
Throughout his career Richard has made a strong commitment to serving the community. He works closely with numerous philanthropic organizations focused on social justice, disease awareness, medical research and community improvement. His contributions have been awarded by organizations such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Camp Courant and Interval House, and he was named to Hartford Magazine’s “50 Most Influential.”
